Emmy's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Emmy started Kindergarten at Settlement Canyon Elementary School this morning. She was very nervous this morning. She didn't really want to eat breakfast. I convinced her to eat some watermelon. We all got ready, and I packed the girls up in the stroller so we could walk big sissy to school this morning. Her teacher this year will be Ms. Murray. I'm really excited for all of the new things she will be learning and experiencing.
Emmy loves her new sparkle shoes. It was really hard to save them for when school started. I'm glad we did; it made them more special.
She looked so pretty this morning.
Emmy's new jacket is a bit big. She'll have to grow into it!
I love trying to get pictures of all 3 girls. It is always an adventure.
We are ready to go.

Alison missed Emmy this morning. I'm glad that we only have half day kindergarten. It worked out perfect this morning. I came home and put Eve down for her morning nap. When she woke up, I loaded up Eve and Alison back in the jogging stroller, and I did a run finishing at the school. It was a nice morning.

Harvest Time

We have had a successful year with our garden. We are enjoying a lot of tomatoes and zucchinis right now. We had some delicious spinach, lettuce, and strawberries in the spring, and we look forward to potatoes and a prize winning pumpkin later this fall.
The girls love to help harvest the tomatoes.
I had to teach Alison to pick only the read tomatoes. She was picking everything at first.
Yummy zucchini.
Alison eats these like candy. Just like her mommy.
We are so excited about this pumpkin. It will make an awesome Jack-O-Lantern!
Zucchini plants, pumpkin plant, a few onion, and some strawberry plants.
We actually picked a couple of strawberries this afternoon. They were a bit tart, but a fun surprise. They are growing well in the shade of the pumpkin plant leaves.
Attack of the tomato plants.
Our harvest for the day!

Camping Trip 2010

We finally got all 3 girls out on a camping trip earlier this month. Wow, we had a great time, but it was a lot of work. It is not easy camping with a baby that can crawl but not walk. The girls did great. We got cold that night, but we all slept okay. We found this awesome little site right next to a stream. The girls had a great time exploring the area, fishing, and hanging out in the tent when it rained.
