Kindergarten Graduation

Emmy graduated from Kindergarten today. This morning we got her all dolled up and ready to go for the big graduation performance.
I promise Eve didn't go to the graduation like that. I'm sure she wouldn't have minded too much.
Emmy is waiting for the performance to start.

Way to go Emmy. We are proud of you.
Kindergarten Graduation Day!
We took the girls out for lunch to celebrate Emmy's big day.
Sweet little Alison.
If you can believe it, Eve drank that entire root beer before her lunch even came.
I am so proud of Emmy. She worked very hard this year to learn how to read. She loves to write stories and color pictures. She didn't know anyone in her class when the school year started, but she was very brave and made a lot of new friends.

Little Eve

Eve has decided that clothes are over rated. She has learned how to get her PJs off, and we have found her in the morning just chilling in her diaper in her crib. The first thing she does when she gets upstairs is put her Crocs on. She loves these new shoes. She can put them on herself, so she wears them all day long.

Eve is trying to lay her blanket down on the floor so she can lay on it.
One morning her diaper was a little saggy. After running around for a bit, she was loosing her diaper completely. She didn't seem to care too much.

Annika's 32nd Birthday

Aaron took me out on a surprise date for my birthday. We went up to the Red Butte Gardens and hiked for a couple of hours. It was so beautiful to see all of the plants coming back to life again in the spring time.

Here are the pictures from the party at my parent's house.

Today is my birthday. I spent a quiet day at home with my girls. Aaron had to leave this morning for a business trip, so we celebrated my birthday on Friday (I'll post pictures later. They are on my mom's camera.) I decorated a few cupcakes for the girls and I for dessert tonight. Emmy took these great pictures of me at our little party. I had a few friends stop by this evening with presents and treats. I feel so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends.

My most precious gift of all!

Here is a sweet video of the girls singing Happy Birthday to me tonight. My favorite part is the end when little Eve steals a jelly bean off of Emmy's cupcake. She is so quick. She can have her hands on a treat or toy before you even realize she's there. The girls have not figured out how to guard their special stuff from Eve's quick hands. It makes me laugh.

My dear friend and awesome running buddy Angie surprised me with flowers. I just can't stop smiling. They are so beautiful, and they were just the perfect thing to brighten my day since Aaron had to leave on my birthday. She is so thoughtful; I'm lucky to call her my friend.

Anniversary Weekend

Last week, Aaron and I celebrated 9 years of marriage. We went up to Heber over the weekend to celebrate. We had a great time shopping, going out to dinner, watching a movie, and just being together. We hiked up Y Mountain on Saturday morning. It was a beautiful day! We haven't hiked Y Mountain since before we were married. It was great to do it again, and this time we hiked even farther up to some beautiful meadows covered in snow. Thanks again grandma for keeping the girls for us for a couple of days.

Baby Anna

We are so glad that our friends the Hopkinson Family have moved back to Utah. We have had a wonderful time being close enough to enjoy special moments like Anna's baby blessing.
