Halloween 2012

The girls had a very fun Halloween. Alison dressed up as a good witch. Emmy was a spell caster witch, and Eve was a pink butterfly. Emmy made the paper wands for the girls to add to their costumes. I thought they were very creative. We went to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church. The girls walked around with friends and got so much candy. Then, the girls walked around the neighborhood with daddy and some friends to get even more candy. It's almost ridiculous how much candy kids get Trick-or-Treating. They sure do love Halloween.

Reflections 2012

Emlyn won 1st place in the Music Composition (ages K-2nd grade) category at Settlement Canyon Elementary Reflections competition. She wrote a song called Starry Night. She had an A & B section in her music. The A section she said sounded like falling stars and the B section sounded like twinkling stars. We were very impressed with her little song.

UEA Weekend Adventure

For UEA weekend, we decided to have a family getaway adventure. We started out the weekend going to Gardner Villiage for pony rides, pettting zoo, and looking for silly witches. Then we went down to Hee Haw Farms in American Fork. We stayed the night at a hotel in Lehi; the next morning we went to BYU to go to the Opera. We had lunch at JDawgs and icecream at the BYU creamery. The weekend was so much fun. The girls loved staying in a hotel; it was fun to have a family adventure even though we were only an hour and a half away from home.

The girls loved the petting zoo. We got to pet goats, sheep, llamas, bunnies, chickens, and much more. It was a lot of fun to be close to the animals.

Eve was a little nervous at first, but she enjoyed her first pony ride.

The corn pit was a family favorite. The girls loved playing in the corn. Aaron thought it was comfortable enough he could sleep in it.

The giant slide was a blast. Aaron finally convinced Alison to take a ride down at the very end of the evening.

Early Snow Fall

We had an early snow fall with just enough snow for the girls to make a snowman friend. These pictures make me laugh because it's so bright and sunny outside and the grass and bushes are still beautiful green. Early snow is always fun. The cold winter snow can be hard to make snowman.

General Conference Weekend

We got to spend General Conference weekend in Heber with Nana, Papa, Karen, Cameron, & Sara. It was a lot of fun!

Gluten Free Expo 2012

 Gluten free pancake breakfast. Yum!

 Emmy won a free treat from a bakery booth.

The Gluten Free Expo is always a special day for Emlyn. She can eat anything at the show. We love all of the great samples we bring home. I'm so glad that Gluten Free products are available and tasting better all the time.

Scooters & Bikes

 Eve loves to ride her bike and scooter. When she hears the garage door open, she is outside riding her bike or scooter in the driveway. She taught herself how to ride Alison's bike, so we had to find Emmy a new bike so that Alison could move up to Emmy's old bike.

 Alison is still a little timid on the larger bike.
