Halloween 2010

We had a fun Halloween. It is one of the most anticipated holidays in our little family. The idea that you can knock on doors and people will give you treats is just the greatest idea! Emmy decided she wanted to be Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) this year. Alison was Little Bo Peep or "Bibble Bo Eep" as she told everyone when they asked her what she was going to be for Halloween. Miss Eve was a giraffe for one Halloween party and a Ladybug for the big night. We have several costumes in the toddler/baby size. Aaron had a cold, so I got to take the big girls around the block for Trick-or-Treating. It was a blast. The girls were so cute; they enjoyed every minute of their candy collecting adventure despite the rain.
The girls love Halloween PJs.

We went to a Halloween Carnival with cousins and had dinner at Grandma's house before we came home for Trick-or-Treating.
Our "Bibble Bo Eep" looking cute! Watch out she was a bit dangerous with that staff.
Decorating Halloween cookies.
We bought Emmy some special Gluten Free cookies to decorate. They were so good.
Alison & Emmy enjoying their artwork.
I even had a chance to decorate a cookie.

Gardner Village

This year we got to take daddy to Gardner Village to see the witches. It was a beautiful day! We enjoyed seeing all of the silly witches, picking out our Christmas ornaments, and buying treats at the candy store.

Eve's Silly Faces

Eve's favorite new face is this super cute "oh" face. She loves to pull this surprised face on us all of the time; she knows that it makes us all laugh and smile. We played Pretty, Pretty Princesses the other day, and I decided to take a few pictures of Eve's fun faces.

Las Vegas Ragnar

Last weekend, I went down to Las Vegas to participate in the Las Vegas Ragnar Relay. I was on a team of 12 runners. We ran 195 miles in 33 hours from the Valley of Fire State Park to Red Rocks Casino in Las Vegas. It was an awesome adventure. I had 3 legs to run on the relay for a total of 18.1 miles. I met some great people, laughed until it hurt, only got about 3 hours of sleep in almost 2 days time, and ran occasionally.

Van 1: Kevin Doyle, Mark Doyle, John Doyle, Angie Thomas, Annika Lovell, Dusty Alba
The Valley of Fire State Park was really cool. We really enjoyed the red rocks.
It was so gorgeous! I had some really great views on my first run.
My first leg was 8.8 miles.
I'm coming in to hand off to the first runner of Van 2.
This is our whole team except for the person that was running at the time.
Van 1 almost ready to start our night runs. I really enjoyed the night run. It was my shortest run at 3.2 miles, and I had my best time.
This was my last run; it was 6.1 miles on this rocky dirt road. It was a steady incline the entire run. I was glad when I was finished.
Here's our entire team at the finish line with our medals.
The first time Ragnar runners.
We had so much fun in our van. The Doyle brothers were a hoot!
We stayed Saturday night in the Venetian.

Alison's New Hair!

I still don't recognize my little Alison. She looks so different with her short hair. She looks older; I can hardly believe that she is almost 3 years old.

Last Visit with Great Grandma Sydenham

We had the most wonderful visit with Great Grandma and Grandpa Sydenham on October 8, 2010. We will miss our dear sweet Grandma Sydenham.
