Quick Visit to Rexburg

At the end of August, we took a quick trip up to Idaho for the funeral of Aaron's grandpa Cameron Sydenham. While we were in Idaho, we went to Rexburg for an afternoon. We drove by the apartments Aaron and I lived in when we meet 12 years ago. It was fun to see how much Rexburg and BYU-Idaho have changed, and how much Greenbriar Apartments have not changed.

Aaron lived in the upstairs apartment.

I lived in the downstairs apartment. Aaron saw me for the first time through that big window. I was talking on the phone to an old roommate.

We also got to see Aaron's cousin MaryAnn and her family. We spent a lot of time with Jeff & MaryAnn when we were dating and attending Rick's (BYU-Idaho).

My little sister Emilie is starting up a photography business. She took our family pictures a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time. Thanks for the great pictures Emilie!

Preschool

Alison started preschool a couple of weeks ago. She loves preschool. She has a couple of friends in her class, and she can hardly wait for Tuesdays and Thursdays to come each week. She says that her favorite part of preschool is snack time.

Baby Tate

My sister Tiffany just had baby #4 on Monday, September 26. We are so excited for her family. We can't wait to meet baby Tate!

Look who's two!

Eve turned 2 at the beginning of September. She is so much fun and a handful! She is more mischievous than the older girls. We know that if we haven't seen Eve for a few minutes, she is probably doing something she should not be doing. The other day she colored all over my sewing machine with a permanent marker. Eve loves to sing, dance, play with her sisters, and read books. She also loves to tease her older sisters. She knows just how to get them riled up; it's hard not to laugh at her silly antics to get their attention. Eve is always talking; she's always surprising us with new words and phrases like "chocolate" and "shake my bum bum".

She is little Miss Independent right now. She says "I do it!" about 100 times a day. She wants to take off her diaper, brush her teeth, turn on the light, go potty, and much more. Yesterday, I found her in the bathroom with her pants and diaper off sitting on the potty. She said, "Mom I go potty." She is very interested in going potty, but she has no idea how it works. She just likes to sit on the potty, put some toilet paper in the pot, and flush. A few weeks ago, I thought I would take a day to see if maybe she was ready for potty training. She pooped on the carpet, so I decided to wait a bit longer. I think when all that potty stuff clicks in her brain; she'll figure it out very quickly.

For Eve's 2nd birthday, we had a family dinner at Grandma & Grandpa Meyer's house with Emilie & Taylor. We had a fun butterfly cake and enjoyed watching Eve very slowly open a couple of presents. It was a great little party.

She loved her butterfly cake. She showed great will power by not taking any of the treats off the cupcakes.

Grandma gave Eve a couple of Princess shirts. She loves princesses. She calls them all "Tinkerbells". If you ask her what's on her shirt or jammies, she always says, "Tinkerbells!"
